The Chula Vista Elementary School District is working with COVID-19 testing company Kahala Biosciences to host the CVESD Safe! Testing & Tracing Program. We are excited to invite your student and your family members, on a voluntary basis, to test with us on:

COVID Testing Muraoka Nov 19 

The CVESD Safe! Testing & Tracing Program will help ensure schools are safe for students and staff through a series of COVID-19 tests and wellness evaluations. This program is completely voluntary. We see it as a great opportunity to ensure the safety of our students, teachers, and staff as we work diligently towards bringing the District safely back to school.

Testing involves your choice of Antibody Test (Finger) and/or Viral Test (Nose Swab), at NO COST to you.

Military Family Life Counselor is Now at Muraoka!

Each year we celebrate Veteran’s Day with a school-wide parade. Although we do not get to have our parade this year, we have received many photos celebrating our Active Duty and Veteran family members!

On days like today we remember the sacrifices our service men and women make on a daily basis to ensure our country is protected. With so many of our families Military connected, we want to say THANK YOU.  We recognize and appreciate your service and the impact it can have on your family.  You are our heroes, and we honor you on this day! Greetings Muraoka Families,

Our community is proud to be home to a large number of Military Connected Families.  On Wednesday, November 11^th, we will not have school in observance of Veteran’s Day.  A special message will be sent out to thank our Veterans for their service to our country!

On Thursday, November 12^th, we will be having a Coffee Chat alongside of our ELAC Meeting.  At this virtual meeting, we will be presenting a draft of the School Plan for Student Achievement and looking for input from our community.  See the attached agenda below and the link to the meeting is contained inside.  This meeting is open to all who would like to attend.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Veteran’s Day Virtual Celebration Information 

Veteran’s Day is quickly approaching and while we can not do our annual parade, we would still like to celebrate our Active Duty and Veteran Families! Please submit a photo of the active duty or veteran adult in uniform with their student to muraokaschool@cvesd.org by November 8th to be featured in our Veteran’s Day Video montage this year! More Celebration Activities to come!
