Weekly Message for the Week of April 5th

Greetings Muraoka Families,

We hope that all of our Momongas and their families enjoyed a much-deserved Spring Break!  As we begin our final quarter, we would like to share important information.  Please be sure to read, as it will provide insight on what to expect in the coming week:

Distance Learning – April 5th  – 9th

All students will remain in Distance Learning for 180 synchronous minutes this week as our staff prepares for hybrid reopening.  Any additional minutes will be provided asynchronously.

Change Requests and Teacher Names

Last Tuesday, you should have received an email about your student’s placement for hybrid reopening – AM, PM or Distance Learning.  If you have any concerns regarding placement, please use the link below:

Change Request Form

Please know that we are trying to accommodate all families, but in some cases, it may not be possible.  All requests will be addressed in the order received.

Teacher names will be shared with you by Thursday, April 8th.

Materials Distribution for Distance Learning Students

If your student is staying in Distance Learning, their Quarter 4 materials have been prepared for distribution.  The times of distribution will be as follows:

  • Tuesday, April 6th from 1:00 – 2:30pm

  • Thursday, April 8th from 1:00 – 2:30pm

This is only for students who are staying in Distance Learning.  Students who are returning to hybrid instruction will be provided materials in their classrooms.

Kahala Biosciences will be back at Muraoka to conduct COVID Testing on Wednesday, April 7th from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no testing taking place between 12 noon and 1 p.m. To schedule an appointment, please click here or cut and paste the following into your web browser: https://kahalabiosciences.com/cvesd-safe/

Hybrid Reopening Videos

Below are links to several videos regarding hybrid reopening.  If you haven’t already, please take a few minutes to view each video to see what reopening will look like here at Muraoka.

Thank you again for your ongoing support during this school year.  We look forward to a great final quarter!

Take Care,

Dr. Mahoney and Mrs. Sutton
