Dear Muraoka Families,
It’s an awesome week to be a Momonga! Don’t forget our Red Ribbon Spirit Week and Muroaka Costume Parade! We will also welcome our new principal, Gina Mazeau, on November 1st. Please see Mrs. Rayray with any questions and/or concerns until then.
Details about the Costume Parade (10/29):
What: Costume Parade on Blacktop
Who: Students and Staff
When: Friday, 10/29 at 8:30 am
Costume Guidelines: Weapons, full face mask, blood or gore are not allowed. All students and staff will continue to abide by mask mandates.
Participating students should come to school dressed in their costume. Students are expected to take their costume off immediately following the parade. Please ensure your child is wearing clothing under their costume to help facilitate a fast and easy change. Please let your classroom teacher know if you do not wish for your student to participate in the costume parade. There will be an alternate activity for your student during this time.
LCFF SURVEY: PLEASE USE THE LINK BELOW TO ACCESS THE SURVEY THAT TAKES LESS THAN TWO MINUTES TO COMPLETE.
Office visits to drop off personal items: We kindly ask that you DO NOT BRING LUNCHES, WATER BOTTLES, OR OTHER ITEMS TO THE SCHOOL OFFICE during the school day. Unfortunately, we have had an overwhelming number of parents visiting the office to deliver personal items and we are unable to accommodate these requests.
Covid Update: MURAOKA HAD ONE NEW COVID CASES REPORTED LAST WEEK. To date, Muraoka has had a total of 36 COVID cases. Thank you for your continued support with keeping your children at home if they have any COVID symptoms and letting the office know the reason for your children’s absences. Please continue to contact us with any COVID-related questions. Please email COVID test results to our Attendance/Health Clerk, firstname.lastname@example.org
PARKING Reminders: Please be courteous to our neighbors and avoid blocking driveways when parking. Additionally, our CVESD transportation department has reported cars in the bus lane. This is a friendly reminder to always avoid bus access/lane.
CVESD Intramural Sports: With some extra precautions in place, we are excited to announce that CVESD has decided that student intramural sports will resume this year! All sports teams are held after school and are an optional activity for CVESD students.
Volunteer Coach Requirements: Livescan, TB Clearance, CPR/First-Aid Certification, Proof of COVID vaccination. If you are interested in coaching co-ed flag football, please email Mrs. Rayray as soon as possible. email@example.com
