Muraoka Families,

Our staff and students had a fantastic first week back on campus after our Spring Break!  It was wonderful to see all our students ready to learn. We started our week with expectations assemblies for each grade level where we reviewed Muraoka expectations and reviewed topics such as the wellness policy, cell phone policy (3rd-6th) and social media use (grades 4-6). Feel free to ask your student about any of these topics. Tomorrow, we will kick off the week with our Momonga Monday blacktop assembly so be sure to wear your spirit gear!

LCAP EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Returning to Muraoka for 2022-2023: With the new school year approaching, we need your help in planning for the 2022-2023 school year. Please let us know if your child(ren) will be returning to Muraoka in July!  Plans for next year survey

CAASPP State Testing for Grades 3-6: The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) is designed to give information to teachers, students, and their families about what students know and are able to do. Please see this parent guide about the assessment that all students in California will be taking.

Muraoka CAASPP Schedule

Grades 3 and 4 May 2nd-May 6th

Grades 5 and 6 May 9th– May 13th

3-6th grade families will receive additional information as testing dates approach.

Spring Grams: Muraoka Student Council is selling Spring Grams. These will be for sale after school from 2:45-3:00pm Monday- Thursday this week. The cost is $2 each and all grams will be delivered to classrooms on Friday, April 15th.

COVID Clinic – Testing on Wednesdays 

COVID Clinic will continue to provide opt-in PCR testing on Wednesday for students and staff.  If you want to register your student, please visit:  https://school.covidclinic.org/register. Registration must be completed by Monday at 2pm to be included in Wednesday’s testing.

If you had previously opted in, but want to opt-out, please email:  k12@covidclinic.org.

Remember that the consent is the same for both the COVID Clink Kiosk and our site testing.  Again, this is optional.
