Weekly Bulletin 11/28/22

Muraoka Families,

We hope that this weeklong break was enjoyed by all our Muraoka Families. We are incredibly grateful for our Momongas who come to school every day, ready to learn! We are also grateful for our Muraoka Families who continually support our students, school, and staff.  We are entering the home stretch of our second quarter and our last 3 weeks are filled with assessments, spirit days and our quarterly awards. Please read our bulletin for additional details.

With Gratitude,

Mrs. Mazeau and Mrs. Rayray

Mid-Year Assessments:

The assessment window for Achieve 3000 and iReady will be 11/28-12/16. Please note that teachers and grade levels are selecting dates within this window to administer the mid-year assessments. Please watch for notice from your classroom teacher for the specific dates of your child’s assessment.

Testing Tips:

  • Get enough sleep— 8-10 Hours of sleep per night helps children have the energy to do their best!
  • Eat a healthy breakfast— Start the day with a meal that includes healthy energy-boosting foods such as eggs, cereal, or whole-wheat toast!
  • Exercise— Physical activity helps improve attention!
  • Think positive thoughts— You can encourage your child to take slow deep breaths and think of something that makes them happy when they feel stressed during a test.

Weekly Bulletin 11/7

Muraoka Families,

We are so proud to announce that Muraoka has been awarded with the highest attendance in CVESD for the month of October! We are so proud of all our Momongas since we know that being at school on time each day has an incredible impact on student learning. Let’s keep it up, Momongas!

We are excited to kick off the Month of the Military Family on Monday, November 7th. We will have a special Military Mingle beginning at 7:45 am and Military family members will be invited to stay for our Momonga Monday Assembly beginning at 8:15 am. Our MFLC, Daniella Esparza, will also be in attendance.  She is on our campus full time and serves our military connected children and their families in a variety of ways.  Her email is daniella.d.esparza@leidos.com if you ever have any questions for her. We will not have school on Friday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day.  Thank you to all our Muraoka Families members who serve or have served our country!

Parking Lot Reminders:

We understand the challenges our families face during pick up and drop off. The amount of foot traffic and vehicular traffic makes it even more important to abide by traffic rules.  Please keep the following in mind during pick up and drop off:

Yellow Curb: Loading zone. Please do not leave your car unattended. If you would like to get off your vehicle to pick up your student, please park in an available parking spot.

Red Curb: We have seen a decrease in parked cars in the red zone! Thank you!

The parking lot on Santa Diana is coned off at approximately 7:45am each morning. This is to keep our pedestrians safe. Please do not move the orange cones to access the parking lot. Thank you so much for helping us keep our walking Momongas safe!
